Methodist University will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 17. All classes and events are canceled, including evening classes and events. For students who live on campus, the Green and Gold Cafeteria will open for brunch at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Essential personnel should contact their supervisor with questions about reporting.
Stay tuned to daily updates while we monitor the weather and the possibility of an extended closing or delay. Again, the safety of our University community is our number one concern and priority. The MU community can expect another update regarding Thursday's classes at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
University Weather Policy
Per University policy, the decision about coming in to work rests with the individual driver. No staff or faculty member should attempt to come in if he/she believes that driving conditions are too dangerous.
If there are cancellations or changes to the schedule, they will be immediately announced on the home page of the University's website, as an announcement on the home page of the University's Blackboard site, and on the University's official Facebook and Twitter feeds.
Signing Up for Alertus
Alertus is a mobile application that any staff or faculty member can download to their smartphone. The app sends live updates on weather and safety information.
